Synopsis
The Lost Boys is a 1987 American comedy-horror film about two young Arizonans who move to California and end up fighting a gang of teenage vampires.
The film stars Jason Patric, Corey Haim, and Kiefer Sutherland, and co-stars Jami Gertz, Corey Feldman, Dianne Wiest, Edward Herrmann, Alex Winter, Jamison Newlander, and Barnard Hughes. It was directed by Joel Schumacher.
The title is a reference to the Lost Boys in J. M. Barrie’s stories about Peter Pan and Neverland.

Why did I pick The Lost Boys as this week’s Movie Download of the Week? Well, for one, to me, it’s a classic. I love vampire movies, and I used to love this one. Apart from my own nostalgic love for the movie, it just so happens that a sequel has been filmed. Yes, a sequel, Lost Boys: The Tribe. So, I figured, why not inform all of you and warn you to watch the original in preparation for the new one. If you’re a fan of the original, you’ll be tickled to know that Corey Feldman is returning as Edgar Frog and Corey Haim as Sam Emerson.
You get two trailers today. One for the original, and one for the new film. What’s even better for all of you is that the sequel is going straight to DVD, which means you’ll probably be able to download it as soon as it comes out. It’s release date is set for July 29, 2008.
